The Donor of the <Epitaph tablet of Madam Jo> is on the stage!

Have you seen an epitaph from Korea? Our museum presents two epitaphs – Big b/w scrolls and a small w/b porcelain tablet.

All the Chinese characters on them look like a mystery. But when you listen to them, the deceased’s lives and their loving family are there.

The Old Korean Legation Museum will hold a guest lecture, as an exhibition talk, on November 17 Thursday.

The speaker is a hot youtube star with 140k subscribers, Prof. Mark Peterson.

He is not only the holder of <Epitaph tablet of Madam Jo> now presented at the museum

but also who decided to send it back to the descendants.

As a renowned American researcher of Korean Studies,

he will be the translator of the family epic, our first minister Park Chung Yang and his first wife, Madam Jo.
